Leomont Evans School: Clemson Height: 6-1 Weight: 200 40 time: 5.15 Mel Kiper, Jr. reports: Notes: Played in nine games as a true freshman in 1992, when most of his action came on special teams. Started all 12 games in '93. Despite having his knee scoped after the South Carolina game, he was back for the Peach Bowl. Played in only five games in '94 because of recurring headaches. It is now believed the headaches were caused by his excessive consumption of chocolate, leading to hypoglycemia. Came back to start at free safety in '95 and tied a school record with three interceptions against North Carolina State. Started every game and had 87 tackles, three blocked kicks and four interceptions while winning All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors. Positives: Good size. Big, physical and aggressive. Above-average run support. Seems to be into the game. Kick blocker on special teams. Improved a lot in '95. Negatives: Long-strider. Cannot cover man-on-man. Is not a disciplined zone defender and at times will get caught out of position because he is guessing. Summary: A big, tough safety who needs to improve his coverage, discipline and skills.
