Notes: Played football and basketball in high school. Lettered in 1994, catching nine passes for 153 yards and one touchdown. Started 10 games in '95 and caught 26-584-2. Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year in '96, when he caught 32-829-8 and returned 15 punts for 111 yards. Had some hamstring problems in '97 but still caught 32-657-4 and returned 27 punts for 180 yards.

Positives: Good athlete. Smooth, fluid and flexible. Has deceptive speed. Averages over 20 yards per catch and returns punts. Can run after the catch and make a big play.

Negatives: On the thin side. Lacks playing strength. May have trouble getting off the line against the jam. Gets pushed around at times. Inconsistent effort. Does not always play hard when he knows he will not get the ball. Gets lackadaisical at times and has dropped some easy throws.

Summary: Has enough ability to make it if he really applies himself and doesn't give the impression that he has it made and is the big man on campus.
